It was a home loan that got us going in the first place. We owned the piece of ground and wanted to build. I sat down and sketched up a design of what we wanted to build and we took it to a couple of building contractors. Only one was really helpful. He said I should start in the bank by taking out a home loan which would provide the finance necessary to get going. And that’s what we did. Of course we used that same contractor as well, so that home loan turned out to be good for everyone.
A home loan will stop the nagging
I’ve been watching my son scratching around trying to raise money to buy the house he and his wife have their minds set on. “We just have to get that house.” she says. “After seeing that, I refuse to live in anything else.” When I ask him how the money raising is going, he shrugs and says it’s difficult. Why don’t you go to the bank and take a home loan, I ask him. He is reluctant. Finally his wife’s nagging must have got to him. He took a home loan and a week later they moved in. Now everyone’s happy!
Home loans
Home loans make it possible for people like us to get started. We went for a drive and came across a delightful cottage for sale up in the Highlands quite close to the beach. Buying a house is not our top priority – we have only been married for a year and are still working on our first baby. On a whim we stopped and went inside to have a look. The place was stunning. It was furnished in Olde English style, porcelain and lace curtains. We spoke to the agent and heard about home loans. Tomorrow we’re off to the bank.
